Welcome to Bolton Lads & Girls Club

In 1889, the Club was founded by a group of local businessmen who wanted to support youngsters working in some of the town’s mills. For more information about the history of the Club, please click here.

Many things have changed over the years, but the Club’s dedication to providing young people with a safe place to spend their spare time remains at the heart of what we do.

Each week, the Club delivers a wide variety of programmes to nearly 2,000 young people ranging from recreational opportunities, performing arts and a diverse range of sporting activities, with an overall membership currently at over 3,500 children and young people.

As a registered charity (#1051292), none of our income is guaranteed. We rely on support from our Patrons, supporters and fundraisers to keep our doors open on a daily basis.
