The Club is governed by members of the local business community who volunteer their time to provide support to the Club’s Chief Executive and Senior Management Team. We are delighted to have the support of Ross Warburton MBE as Club President.
Each member of the Board brings their skills and experience to assist the Club in achieving its aims and objectives.
Dave Singleton – Chairman
Dave was first elected to the Board in May 2008, after spending over 20 years in international marketing and senior business management, latterly as Senior Vice President Reebok (Adidas Group) responsible for Europe, Middle East and Africa.
He is also Non-Executive director and Chairman of the Remuneration Committee at Sports Direct International, Executive forum member of Coleman Research Group (USA), Chairman Bolton Youth Enterprise Academy, Honorary fellow University of Central Lancashire and Vice president of Bolton Wanderers Football Club.
Mark Pearson – Treasurer
Audit Partner at Barlow Andrews
Mark is the Audit Partner of Barlow Andrews, one of the leading firms of Chartered Accountants and business advisers in North Manchester and Lancashire, having qualified as a chartered accountant in 1983.
In addition to supplying accounts and audit services to a wide variety of businesses, his specialist areas include the charity sector and collective investment schemes. Mark is also a Governor of St Maxentius Primary School, treasurer of Eagley Tennis Club and junior league secretary for Bolton Sports Federation Tennis League.

First elected to the Board in September 2007, Michael is Managing Director of the Peers Group of Companies, which specialise in design, fabrication and installation of structural steelwork for the Petro-Chemical, Pharmaceutical and Nuclear industries throughout the United Kingdom.
He has also served on the Board of Bolton Business Ventures for 10 years as appointed Vice Chairman and the Board of the Young Presidents Organisation. Michael is an active participant in the Club’s Duke of Edinburgh Awards Scheme as well as its Outdoor Activities programme.
Geeta Kotecha – Director

Geeta has been a member of the Board since 2015. Aged 55, Geeta has been married to Subhash for the last 33 years since they immigrated from India. Geeta studied Law in India and has since gone on to complete her Social work degree from University of Salford. Through her fundraising activities, mainly in India from a young age and at University, Getta’s skill sets include leadership, motivational speaking, spiritual meetings and fundraising for charity. Geet’s challenges have always linked to domestic violence and her support for victims, children and families.
Mark Brocklehurst – Director

Mark is the Managing Director of the Sharples Group Ltd, a North West based company that specialises in the supply, service and support of laser printers, copiers and Document Management Solutions for a wide range of businesses. He served in the Royal Navy for 12 years as an Aircraft Controller. During his time with the Royal Navy, he learned valuable leadership and judgement skills that he has put to good use in his civilian career.
Currently, Mark is the Chairman of two Royal Navy Groups, the HMS Ambuscade Association and the Type 21 Frigate Association. He is also Chairman of Bolton Rugby Club.
Brandon Pilling – Chairman of Astley Dye & Chemical Company and Managing Director ACDOPRO
Brandon Pilling is the Chairman of the Astley Dye & Chemical Company a third generation Bolton family business started by his grandfather in 1919.
The company was best known in Bolton for the Acdo washing powder brand, but since Brandon joined in 1985 the company (and subsequently became its Managing Director in 1992) has changed dramatically. It now also supports a number of businesses and brands to the retail market internationally including ACDOPRO – a manufacturer of specialists laundry and household cleaning products that are exported to over 50 countries around the world.
ACDOCO distributes specialist laundry and personal care products under brands such as Dr Beckmann, Stain Devils, Glo White, Blanx and Alpecin based in Blackburn and ACDOCOSA – South Arfican personal care brands.
Peter Vinden – Managing Director of The Vinden Partnership
Currently Peter is Managing Director of The Vinden Partnership – a large multi-disciplinary Project Management and Surveying Business with offices in Bolton, Nottingham and London offering bank advisory, funding, corporate recovery, dispute resolution and PM services to a range of private and public sector clients.

Professor George E Holmes DL – Vice Chancellor and Chief Executive of the University of Bolton
When appointed to the post of Vice Chancellor and Chief Executive of the University in 2005, George became the youngest University Head in the UK. He has been at the University now for over nine years. He holds a Doctorate in the field of Education, a Masters in Business Administration and a BSc in Economics. Professor Holmes is also a Fellow of the Institute of Directors. He previously edited two International Journals for almost ten years, specialising in Quality Assurance in Education. In 2002 he was appointed by the then Secretary of State for Education and Skills as advisor to the Department, becoming, along with Sir Ron Cooke, one of only two Sector representatives for the Department’s HE Policy Delivery Steering Group – which was assisting in the preparation of the HE White Paper. George was, for six years until 2014, on the Board of the Octagon Theatre, Bolton, and is now on the Board of the Bolton Lads and Girls Club. He is a Governor of Bolton School and Bolton Wanderers Free School. He was previously a Governor of both the ESSA Academy Trust and the Bolton College. He is a founding Trustee of the Bolton University Technical College, and a Governor at the Wakefield Grammar School Foundation. Prior to joining the University, Dr Holmes was Principal of Doncaster College where he also established the Doncaster Education City Project, of which he became Chief Executive. In this post he secured the largest capital grant in the history of the FE sector at the time and had responsibility for building a new £75m College on the Waterfront. At Doncaster he was a Governor of both the College and Hayfield School.
George was previously Deputy Vice Chancellor at the University of North London (now the London Metropolitan University). In 1996 he played a central role, within the Vice Chancellor’s Office, in the founding of the Lincoln University Campus, opened by HM The Queen.
Latterly in 2015, Professor Holmes was appointed by Her Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant of the County of Greater Manchester as one of his Deputy Lieutenants.
Having worked at a number of city centre practices, Debbie joined the Bolton-based leading law firm KBL in 1999 and became a Partner in 2002. With over 30 years commercial property experience, Debbie acts for both landlords and tenants in commercial lease procedures and has particular expertise in acting for commercial developers.
Founded in the 1985, KBL is a Legal 500 recommended law firm with an extensive range of corporate and individual clients throughout the North West. The practice houses dedicated specialist teams offering legal advice to both commercial and private clients in property, litigation, employment, corporate & commercial, family law, wills & probate and personal injury.
