The Independence Group on holiday in Spain - Summer 2006
Here are some comments about their group......
"We are a friendly group who enjoy coming to the club - going in the gym to build muscles and get fit, football, girls pampering nights, chatting and making new friends, trying new sports: trampoline, netball, rounders, cricket, basketball. Taking part in Christmas shows ie. singing, acting, dancing - taking part in the Halloween X Factor that is due to be performed on Halloween Night 31.10.06. The tops is going on residentials, weekends, weeks holidays and meeting new people - seeing new places without having to go with the family, it has made me able to be independent and not afraid"
"We are good outgoing, individual people, same as everyone else in the club, we look out for one another, especially on holidays, although we are a wide range it does not spoil us getting on well together. The main reason we like the club so much is that we have a great time on our Tuesday and Thursday nights"
" It has built up my confidence coming to the club, it has also helped me become more independent and I have learned how to raise money to help with our day trip out. This year we raised a lot of money by baking cakes, selling raffle tickets and had a great day out in Blackpool on the Pleasure Beach."
