Membership Officer
£18,000 – £21,000 per annum
Full-Time (35 hours), permanent.

The main purpose of this exciting and ambitious role is to ensure that every child and young person, within our membership age range, and their parents or carers, are aware of the opportunities BLGC provides across our sites – to increase membership and reach across the town, whilst really supporting the retention of existing members. The role will include targeted promotion of BLGC in schools/colleges with a view to increasing membership in line with agreed targets, planning and delivery of promotional events/activities across the town, utilising social media to promote the provision to young people and leading the membership renewal process.

Volunteer Recruitment Manager

Volunteer Recruitment Manager
£25,000 – £27,000 per annum
Initially a 12 month Full-Time (35 hours) Fixed Term Contract

We are looking to appoint a highly motivated, target driven individual to this essential role, who can demonstrate significant experience of effectively recruiting, managing and motivating volunteers and teams. The successful candidate will lead and direct a small team of Volunteer Recruitment Officers, set the strategy, head up the campaign, review all current procedures and ‘roll their sleeves up to get the job done’.

Volunteers are the life blood at Bolton Lads & Girls club and the Volunteer Recruitment Manager will head up an ambitious strategy to attract, screen, train and support an army of 150 new volunteers over the next 12 months to work alongside staff across different sections and club sites.

They will be responsible to the Commercial Manager (Sports).

Community Fundraising Manager
£24,000 – £27,000 per year
35 hours per week

Permanent Post

An experienced and proactive Community Fundraising Manager to work with the Fundraising Team to establish and develop thriving relationships. The successful post holder will contribute to the implementing of a cost effective, staff enabled fundraising approach. This will include supporting existing fundraising activity, but mainly generating new Community income initiatives for the Club. Experience of working to financial targets to deliver Community Fundraising activity (either in a paid or voluntary capacity) is essential.

The Research and Development Assistant will perform a key support role for the Income Generation team with a variety of research and development functions to enhance and maximise the output of income generation activities, and ultimately help to secure challenging financial targets for core services and targeted projects at the Club in line with its Strategic Business Plan, Income Generation Strategy, and Departmental Operating Plans.

Bolton Lads & Girls Club is a proud deliverer of the Office for Civil Society’s National Citizen Service programme for young people as part of a consortium with The Challenge Network and Salford Foundation.  We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and talented individual to join our NCS team to recruit young people throughout 2016 – 2018, in line with set targets, ensuring thousands of young people from Bolton’s diverse communities contribute towards a more cohesive society.

If you have strong marketing and communication skills to engage with schools, colleges and other youth settings to champion and drive the recruitment of young people onto the NCS programme and build a network of contacts and secure agreed numbers of young people from ‘expressions of interest’ through to full sign up – then we would love to hear from you!

This is a year round, target driven recruitment post, to successfully engage with young people during the recruitment phase of the programme and ensure all places on the NCS programmes are taken up. There will also be a requirement to provide some office and administrative support for the NCS programme, including adhering to processes and the production of Management Information as requested, ensuring that all data is recorded accurately, timely and confidentially, and that all use of data is within data protection legislation.

The salary package reflects the importance of this role and a pension scheme will be available after six months service.  However we believe that your biggest reward will be the difference you make to the lives of young people in Bolton.
