Employability

We are dedicated to helping young people enter the world of work and we run different sessions to help with this, detailed below. If you want to get involved, get in touch!

Job Club (kindly sponsored by Warburtons)

Every Tuesday & Thursday 6-8pm in Senior Club sessions

Job Club helps young people searching for jobs, building CV’s, writing and completing application forms or covering letters. They can also learn interview skills and best practices for using the telephone as well as taking part in mock interviews with the Club’s dedicated Enterprise Team.

Job Club is FREE for young people to drop in.

Moving on Project

Are you 15-19 years old (or up to 24 if you have a learning need or disability)? Not in employment, education or training and not claiming benefits? Or maybe your chosen path isn’t for you? Need advice, guidance and help with your future career?

Contact Claire.Stabler@blgc.co.uk for more information about our Moving On Programme.

Enterprise projects

Enterprise projects last from two weeks to six months and are designed to allow youngsters to get a real insight to what business do, roles within a business and challenges businesses face. By taking part in these projects, participants gain key employability skills giving them head start in their chosen careers.
